Supporting Every Learner’s Next Step
At Red Balloon Worthing, we believe that education is not just about learning in the moment — it’s about preparing for life beyond the classroom.
Our aim is to help each learner build the confidence, skills, and direction they need to move on successfully to the next stage of their journey.
Whether that’s returning to mainstream education, starting college, beginning an apprenticeship, or exploring employment, we work closely with every learner to create a pathway that feels right for them.
Personalised Careers Guidance
Each learner receives individualised support to explore their interests, strengths, and goals.
We provide:
- Careers Sessions – helping students identify interests, skills, and possible future pathways.
- Information and Guidance – tailored advice about college courses, apprenticeships, and employment options.
- CV and Interview Preparation – practical support in creating a CV, practising interviews, and developing workplace readiness skills.
- Visits and Taster Days – opportunities to visit local colleges, training providers, or workplaces to gain insight and confidence.
- Transition Planning – a clear, supported plan for each learner’s next steps, ensuring they feel ready and supported throughout the process.
Life Skills and Employability
We know that moving on isn’t just about qualifications — it’s about life skills, confidence, and emotional readiness.
That’s why our programme includes:
- Independent Living Skills – from travel training and budgeting to time management and communication.
- Workplace Skills – teamwork, problem-solving, resilience, and professionalism.
- Personal Development – building confidence, self-awareness, and wellbeing, so our learners feel prepared for adult life.
Strong Partnerships
We maintain close links with local colleges, sixth forms, training providers, and employers.
These partnerships mean our students can:
- Access work experience placements in supportive environments
- Attend college link courses to try out subjects before enrolling
- Meet with employers and role models who share real-world insights
- Find routes into volunteering, apprenticeships, or part-time work
We’re proud to see many of our learner’s transition successfully into further education or employment, with ongoing support from our team during the handover period.
