This summer, we’re incredibly proud to be celebrating a fantastic set of GCSE and BTEC results at Red Balloon Worthing.

Our learners achieved:

• 100% pass rate across all BTEC subjects
• 100% Grades 4-9 in GCSE English Literature, Food & Nutrition and Statistics
• Every learner progressing to college across West Sussex

These are brilliant results, but for our learners they represent so much more than grades on a piece of paper.

Celebrating every step of the journey

For many young people who come to Red Balloon Worthing, their journey through education hasn’t always been straightforward.

Returning to learning, rebuilding confidence and working towards qualifications can take enormous courage, resilience and determination.

That’s why Results Day is about celebrating the whole journey. It’s about recognising the challenges our learners have overcome, the progress they have made and the confidence they have developed along the way.

As our Head of Centre, Kim Anderson, says:

“These results are not just about grades; they represent perseverance, courage and the determination to overcome challenges that, at times, made education difficult to access.”

What comes next?

Our learners are now progressing to colleges across West Sussex, where they will be studying a wonderfully varied range of subjects including Public Services, Game Design, Catering, Health & Social Care and Art & Design.

Finding the right next step is different for every young person. Seeing our learners move forward into courses that reflect their individual interests and ambitions is an achievement worth celebrating in itself.

We couldn’t be prouder of every one of them and everything they have achieved.

We’d also like to say a huge thank you to their families and to the Red Balloon Worthing staff team who have supported, encouraged and believed in them throughout their journey.

Qualifications may mark the end of one chapter, but they also open the door to another.

We can’t wait to see what comes next.
